Well morrison was a huge icon and obviously an awesome lyricist and hendrix was one of the best guitarists around but musically they were pretty different, so its kind of hard to choose one.
but i guess i'd go with morrison

It depends if u want lyrics it's definately Morrison, but if You are looking for tecinical merit Hendrix wins by a landslide.

hendrix but dont get me wrong jim morrison is awsome to but at least hendrix played a instrument

Both were legends,however my vote goes to Jimi Hendrix for being a guitar maestro that he was ,with his style that has not very often been copied correctly although admittedly there a few cases where justice has been done to a few of his songs he and his music will forever remain distinctive and unique,a inspiration for all guitarists now and in the future.

Morrison= greatest frontman in music history
Although I wasn't born until many years after their deaths, I miss them dearly.
