For a girl we are planning on Lucy Garland. Lucy is named after my great grandmas first name, and Garland is my husbands grandma's madien name.
For a boy we picked Parker T. Elise. Parker is my husbands grandfathers middle name, T stands for my brothers first name, and Elise is my dad and grandpas middle name beside the fact it is a kids name in every generation at one point.
Just curious what you think of them!

I love Lucy Garland for a girl. And though I agree with some of the others that the T in the boy's name is a little out of place and Elise is more of a girl's name, the funny thing is it actually sounds pretty good together. Both kind of sound like names of movie stars.

I like Lucy Garland. Lucy is very cute for a little girl, and Garland immediately made me think of Judy Garland. So as long as that is okay, go for it. The boy's name is okay, but it doesn't really matter what I think. First of all, Parker is a fine name and no one is going to go around calling him by his full name. Second of all, family names are special and somewhat immune to criticism. My daughter's name is Helen Mary, after her 2 great-grandmothers. People either say they love the name or they ask if it is a family name. That is how we know they don't really like it! Third of all, children don't live up to their names. Names are much more a reflection of the parents than the children. If you love this child and value family, education, honesty, etc, then chances are your child will too, regardless of what you name him/her. Good luck!

I think they're great! I espeically love Parker and Garland. I also love that they are family names, and have significance. I have a family name and I've really come to appreciate it. I plan to do the same for my children.

I like them. I particularly like Lucy Garland because it gives her an opportunity for a stage name if she becomes an actress.

Good luck!!

Exchange the 'Garland' and the 'Elise' on the genders, and you've got fine names! Congrats.

Just remember in naming your child..that whatever you name them, they will live up to their names. I would look at the meaning of the names before deciding. Ironically, I did not know this until someone pointed it out to me. So in this discover, I looked up everyone I knew and they held true to the meaning of their names!

For example my daughter's name is Tiffany which means a gift from God....she is my true angel and has blessed my life immensely. My name is Tracie and it means warrior...and I have felt all my life I have been fighting battles...

I hate the name Parker, sorry, but it is kinda white trash. I live near a town called Parker and it is full of rednecks! The T. is kinda weird and Elise is a girl's name. Just my 2 cents!
