I'm trying to take these speakers apart so I can clean the inside (I hear static as I turn the volume up or down) I got the screw out (only one)... does it just pry apart?
thanks in advance.

well you cant take them apart and if they are in warranty get them serviced as far as the static is concerned the volume knob has a carbon film on it which changes the amount of current flow to the speakers and the static is because the carbon film is fading out ............beleive me you wont be able to rectify that by manual cleaning just get them services from a technician as they'll clean or replace the carbon film

It may not be your speakers, try plugging in a headset or another set of speakers.
