Not cool for a Guy!! The only promise you should make is to yourself, that is complete high school and go to college. Once you graduate and have a good paying job where your making lots of money, only then you make such a commitment

When my boyfriend gave me a promise ring I expressed my desire to "mark" him as well. He picked out a fun designed band on ebay that he liked and that's what I'll give him for V-day. It seems only fair if the guy can mark the girl as taken that we be able to mark them! ;-)

Sure you can, but unless he gives you one first, expect him to run like heck and keep running. Most guys like for it to be THEIR idea, otherwise they can get scared off easily.
