The UTI may have spread to your kidneys causing the back pain. If your doctor gave you anti-biotics, it should take care of it. You may also be having back pain b/c of the hormone Relaxin that is released during pregnancy to relax the pelvis; it makes all joints looser especially around your lower back, hips, and pelvis. I started having back pain early in this pregnancy (I'm 24 weeks) b/c I had a back injury last summer and the Relaxin hormone is aggravating it.

More than likely from the UTI, I used to get them all the time and I always had the pain in my back. Just remember not to take anything you are not supposed to for the pain.

yes defiantly could be from the uti . that is one of the classic symptoms of getting a uti also it is a classic symptom of pregnancy . if you have both i would say its normal if you already saw the Dr than i wouldn't worry unless it gets worse . then just call your Dr or ob/gyn and ask what you can take for pain. drink lots of cranberry juice to clean out your system. hope you feel better

don't freak out, just relax, I never heard of UTI causing you back pain, but pregnancy does, maybe you are just nervous or you simply slept in a bad position !, relax and let somebody spoil you for a while. Go to your doctor as soon as possible, but for now just calm down.

Cramping is a sign of a UTI, spotting is also a symptom so call your OB if you start spotting but make sure they remember that you have one. And make sure to take all of the script they surely gave you.

UTI from my experience did not cause me any back pain. i suggest talking to your doctor. take no chances. drink lots of cranberry juice, it will help with the UTI, not cran-raspberry, the real stuff from the organics section of the store.
