Go here:
http://www.hdmaster.com/testing/cnatesting/colorado/CO_CNA_Home.htm
On the right you will see the phone number for the Colorado Board of Nursing.
On the left you will see how to schedule a CNA exam once you are in Colorado, but perhaps this can be done in TX before you move.
You can ask the CO Bd of Nursing if they will accept your TX credentials as fulfilling CO CNA requirements. If you send them a copy of your TX CNA, give them info to verify it which you may know. Like phone/address of TX CNA accrediting office.
This is likely to be something they have encountered before, transferring credential or approving a CO CNA exam without going through a CO school.
If you send them a letter, type it out neatly. Include your resume, showing CNA work experience.
As you probably know, if they discover anything false, you can forget everything. I hope you have a good TX work record.
As to whether the CNA 'just transfers' I do not know, you will have to persue the above and find out. The more accurate info they have the easier their decision.
But since you are not going through school there, they have some basis for checking you out carefully, lest you work on unsuspecting Coloradoans while unqualified, or perhaps having a valid TX CNA, but fleeing to another state after being fired, etc.
Only you can allay their suspicions. I believe any false statement(s) can jeopardize everything, possibly into the future.
On the other hand, if you are a Good CNA with a Good Record, this should be something you can easily work out with them, most likely before you move. That would enable you to start work pretty fast upon arrival.

When I had moved from Michigan to Texas, all I had to do was show them that I was licensed in Michigan, and the company told me how to get it transfered, or you can contact the institution where you recieved your certification, and they to will tell you. Also if you are state licensed you can contact the state that issued the license and they will transfer it over and issue a new form, with a small fee, and you will not have to take any test over or anything.

You have to write to the board and have them issue a new certificate for Colorado.
