they are concerned about their Party, not about their country.

The same way the Democrats blocked Bush's nominees for the Supreme Court - twice!
They used the law of the land and followed the rules.
Apparently there are plenty of Senators who think the time spent in Congress is better spent debating something else. I personally think the OJ Trial could have been finished in a week, but some people just want to make a big spectacle about everything; in this case, the Democrats want an open forum to whine about the war. They can release their own press statements.
The Congress WAS elected by the people. As was the President.

Politics. They blocked it because the dems. don't want a real open debate they want to limit it to their own proposal. The reps. want to debate the resolution as well as the other proposed resolutions that the dems. want to ignore so by blocking the dems. the reps. hope to force the dems. to allow full debate on all three resolutions about the war.
President Bush. President Bush. President Bush. Thats like holy water to you isn't it?

Bush is neither God nor King and doesn't profess to be. He's just a very smart man doing a very necessary job. Like him or not-- that's just the way it is.

The dems have been doing the exact same thing for 6 years while they were in the minority and people like you didn't seem to have a problem with it. Now that the republicans are using the same process all you libs cry foul. Typical.

He is the "decider". Dems don't want to let Gush shift any blame for defeat by getting too involved in the war.

None . He is just a stupid man with lots of shitty republicans around him making him look important. Blocking debates, avoiding questions, censoring and disappearing evidence, blaming others for their short comings is their job, is what republicans are so good at. I can't wait until we get rid of him . He should go back to his stable where he belongs.

Funny, that reminds me of asking the same thing the last few years regarding Democrats and judicial nominations.
