He is deff. the best ball player-hands down!! The only guy contesting Durant from being the best freshman player is Greg Oden...But I feel that they are about equal players and Durant being themost versatile between the two-Durant also seems to have the mental toughness, maturity, and overall better basketball IQ than Oden-although both players have the potential to someday be the greatest.period!Texas is young and talented-They have room to improve but they have major potential in their game....I expect them to be one of the best in coming years-They need experience and maturity...and for Durant to STAY!

Definitely. Not only did he create an immediate impact in his team through his game but also in the entire NCAA. Is there any better way to show his talent than being chosen the Big 12 freshman of the week for the fifth time? Not only is he averaging 25.3 points but also 11.5 rebounds a game. And he shows a variety of offensive weapons too which among NCAA coaches say, is unstoppable in the NCAA. No doubt, Oden is a special player, but so far, his stat is eclipsed by Durant. There is no better way to show your superiority among other players than your statistics. So i think it is durant.

And if they get a little better on both sides of the ball as you said, who knows, we'll be talking about Championship? Specially with Durant in his usual A+ game.

provide Oden a ruin. He did not even play 0.5 the season. Thad Matta knew this, and designed his offense to run "exterior-in." If Oden have been healthful the completed 365 days, he could have been a good larger component of OSU's offense. Kevin Durant did not propel his Texas group very a good distance interior the tourney, so Mike Conley is my decision. Oden is youthful, green, and foul-companies. are not maximum freshman?

Durant is probably the best right now but if Oden wasn't playing left handed I'm thinking he would be more effective than Durant. His defensive presence is uncomparable and he takes up so much space underneath. But for now while he is injured, Durant has that offensive advantage. Then again with Oden's team though he doesn't really need to score, just rebound and make teams take bad shots. Who knows.

definitely best freshman in the NCAA. though oden has been injured and has impressed as well despite playing with a cast on his right wrist. scary thought if oden were 100%. these two players would go 1 and 2 in next years NBA draft. no wonder the Celtics seem so content on losing!

Kevin Durant hands down is the best freshmen in the NCAA right now check out theses stats:
ppg:25.3
rpg:11.6
fg%:48.8%
ft%:83%
bpg:1.7
spg:1.5
He is truley d best freshman, but i doubt he will be the #1 pick in the NBA drft since he doesnt play center and since Greg Oden
does he will be chosen as the #1 pick.(dats just how it usually works in the NBA the bigger d better).

Kevin Durant is the best freshman and probably the best player in college basketball right now.Oden would be if he was healthy, but even then, Durant still may be the best.

easily the best freshman in the ncaa maybe even the best player period in college. oden has been injured so i dont think its fair to judge him this year. i think if durant comes out he will be the first overall pick.

whos kevin durant? o you mean the guy who got owned by Texas A&M. i say greg oden is the best freshman. the only reason durant scores so many points, is because he is basically the only one who shoots the ball.

He's really tough. Texas should get to the Elite 8 in the tournament, if he shines when the pressure is on. I think he will.
