Cologne is always a good thing. Men could always use cologne. We want our men to smell good and look good at the same time right? A few others, if they are a hands on type of guy, any gift card at Sears, Lowes, etc. If your man enjoys getting spoiled on Valentine's Day, send him to a spa for the day and get pampered. Give a little and he'll give alot in return.

Depends on your budget and what his interests are. Some ideas that came to mind are:

New book
Video game
DVD
Tickets to a sports game
Tickets to a movie he's been wanting to see
Anything for his car
Gift certificates to a fave. store
Dinner out
Home cooked meal
A basket filled with his favorite snacks

Guys are usually pretty practical and don't care as much about romantic gifts. So, you can also just get something that he needs , but hasn't the money for or hasn't had the time to buy it for himself, even if it isn't romantic (like shoes or something).

It also depends on how old you guys are and how long you've been together. Hope this helps you make a decision.

Good luck!

Send a secret admirer's card to him. Also send him a watch that is kind of a lot of money, not too much. Also when Valentine's Day arrives, sneak the card and watch in his locker or backpack, and when he asks who sent this to me, shout out your name and show him your face.

Should be better if both of you could invite each other for a candle light dinner. Should be a romantic event to remember. Keep going on.

When and where you give him something will depend on your man (some guys don't like getting romantic stuff infront of buddies), but whatever you get him, he will like it because YOU gave it to him.
In another question I said: it's not what you get him, it's that you thought of him and took the time to get him something.
The same goes for your girlfriend.

i would give him a little booklet of certificates. each certificate should have something that you would do for him whenever he chooses to use it. if you are intimate then you can include some fun and naughty ideas.
