There is SO MUCH you can do with a MacBook. It has productive programs as well a Windows XP/Vista capability!

(You might have to wait untill Mac OS X Leopard comes out!)

Compare Macs to PCs

Here's a couple of selling points. The new MacBook is twice as fast as the G4 so you can get your homework done sooner. Plus it runs Windows natively as well as Mac OS X. If you have a school that uses Windows or plan to go to college, a MacBook would be much better and is portable and would be a good investment. Plus the quality of Macs and their support is rated higher than any PC according to Consumer Reports.

The MacBook is portable for library work and making presentations in school, has the Intel Core 2 Duo technology that will run your Power PC G4 Mac files, and will also run the new technology, too. Plus the Intel system can run both Mac and PC software -- meaning it's compatible to PC files your school may be utilizing.

Those are good answers. To me a really important feature is it's ability to run Windows because there is much more software out there that runs under Windows than under Mac OS.

Just get a part time job, save the money, and buy it yourself. You'll appreciate the laptop much more that way and your parents will see how responsible you are, and be willing to help you more next time.

show them all the cool stuff you can do with one, compared to Windows. Then show how the first person to respond (me) is typing on one now and never had a problem.
