Are there any products or at-home remedies for thin/weak eyelashes? Is mascara a cause of this?

I used to have GREAT lashes before I started to use mascara but now I always need to use it to make my lashes pretty again! So yeah mascara could be a cause epecially if it's one of those waterproof ones that are REALLY hard to get off. Also dont pick at your lashes when you have on mascara, they fall out. Hope I helped....
Also I heard that baby oil helps though I haven't tried it =]
Good Luck

Unfortunaly genes are to blame for weak lashes in my case. Your case could be different.

Genes, are ur moms eyelashes little? Dad?
Nutrition? Are you getting enough vitamin D? etc
Mascara Formulation? Are there abrasive chemicals in your mascara?
Any eye problems? Ask your Opt. next time you go.

Remedies? Some people say cutting the eyelashes makes them grow longer. Using a vitamin fortified mascara might work. Taking suppliments, like Keratin could help. Oil of Olay makes vitamins esp for this. Try combing your eyelashes every day with an eyelash comb. Gently rubbing your eyelids will help circulation and increase blood flow to the area. That might help

If you use mascara too much, rub your eyes a lot, or use fake eyelashes, that could be the cause of your problem.

I'd say, stop doing, or don't do any of the above and see if your lashes improve, or just get used to wearing fake eyelashes every day to get the look that you want.

I'd say you'd have to start eating right...get pleny of sleep and try lifting weights with your lashes...excercise can do wonders for the body.
