I'm not a great dancer, but I love to hear live music :)

To watch all the cuties that do know how. I don't dance anymore. Especially after my daughter told me a few years ago, at my brother's wedding reception, that I dance too white. Slow dancing is the only dance I'll do anymore.

Just because one can't dance doesn't mean that they can't enjoy the music. Its a way to get out and enjoy being around other people who aren't only at a dance just to dance but also to enjoy the music and mix/mingle and perhaps make new friends.

even if people can't dance, everybody has a good time once they get into the music and just start dancing like nobody's watching. i'm sure a lot of people go to dances for the social aspect of it too. you know, just talking to people and stuff

they have a genetic disorder similar to the one that boring people who feel the need to post a blog have. Only the dancers are not quite so insipid.

Either to meet other ppl who can't dance, guidance counselor or friend encourages you to go, your social obligation to someone forces you to.. or maybe you just want to socialize and have a good time.

they enjoy watchin others dancing its not that bad thing many ppl doesn't like dancing but they love to watch someone dancing or they just like to enjoy the music their

to watch those who can dance.
I hate going to most dance clubs for that reason its mainly girls shaking their butt and guys watching... oh wait that was a strip club not a dance club... I'll stick with the original answer-

Dancing isn't about what you look like when you do it. It's about how it makes you feel when you do it. People that dance do so for their own satisfaction, and no one else's.
