Is there a way to safely lose charge when you remove your winter coat/jacket?

other than getting a 'shock' by touching some grounded metal?!

Hold a coin in your hand and touch metal with the coin.

Take off your shoes first. Bare feet will ground you and removing your jacket will not create a potential.

Try all the other ways and then try this:
Touch all shocking metals with your nose or 'other' digit first.
Then when you use your hand it won't feel so bad!

I think you can prevent this by standing on a rubber mat? Not sure.
