I think that it is unique, havent heard it too often. Do know that it is an Egyptian Goddess.

Egyptian: Most powerful of the female Egyptian goddesses, she was consort and sister to Osirus, mother of Horus, and is usually depicted as a motherly woman with arms wide open. Isis was worshipped at the Island of Philae, and was later worshipped over the entire Roman Empire.
Auset, Aset

Based on the 1990 US Census, Isis was ranked the number 2828 most popular Girls name in the US.

I can't help but relate this to the Saturday morning show, when I was little, of the goddess dressed in white and the large gold medallion, who transformed at the cry of "O mighty Isis!" It's a cute name, but I have a feeling not many people know how to pronounce it.

Love it for my cat. My kittens were stranded in my attic in 100 degree heat a few summers ago. one cat in particuar was screaming like crazy is the only reason that I knew they were there. I climbed to the attic and rescued 5 of them.

The only reason that they are alive today is because of that one kitten screaming. If I hadn't heard her, they all would've burned to death.

I name her Isis. I thought of the princess almighty Isis. She is my sweetheart. It's funny, she is the runt and weakest of all of them. But, she was the one screaming and if I hadn't heard her, they would all be dead today.

My Isis was a lifesaver.

It's a nice name but I think I would prefer it for a middle name.
