A real horror in America.First we had 9-11 and now this s---.
A lot of people died, some were injured, and many many people lost there homes.I'm terribly sorry for what happened to those people two years ago.But most of all, when you say Hurricane Katrina the first thing that come to my mind is George Bush.I understand that George Bush is the president of the United States, but he does not give a damn about anyone.Even most of the people who were black
who lost their homes, and I have to say George Bush does not care about black people.Anyways these are all the these that come to my mind, when you mention the word "Hurricane Katrina."I hope all this information answers your question.

mix of communication between state + federal agencies...

the state wasnt up-to-date with new FICA protocol and there was a mix up in communication...

Bush made a bad decision by not making a good MORAL decision to immediately move in and save Louisianna's as$...
but he made no UNLAWFUL decision.

FICA warned the state of Louisianna to evacuate 3-5 days before the actual hurricane hit. The State decided it was not in their best interest.. maybe they didnt want people to over-react and cause mayhem... maybe they were skeptical about the storms severity... who knows.

regardless, once they refused to do that. FICA had no legal bounds to save their as#'s...

Dont interperet MORAL to imply prejudice... i mean moral to mean, he could have gone in and said screw the laws/protocol... and deal with his critics later.

but in his defense.. they were starting to take over the house+senate... the liberals chew up anything they can and they spit it all over Bush.

partisan rescue.

new orleans is still a disaster area because most of it's residents are democratic voters.

in the years that follow, the full magnitude of the disgrace that katrina represents to america will become more clear...

Disaster. Government incompetence at every level.

It seems that in regions where rich white people live the system is moving a little more smoothly when it comes to rebuilding.

New Orleans relief has pretty much stopped.
