A. Homeowners should be allowed any type of firearm they wish in their house. The federal government has no right telling anyone what they can or cannot own. Hitler controlled and outlawed firearms and so did Stalin. Look at what happened there genocide. By the way, the term "Sporting purposes" was unknown in U.S. law until 1968. A U.S. Senator, Thomas Dodd, copied it from a Nazi German "gun control" law. Besides, I think a burglar would think twice if he was staring down the barrel of a 12 gauge shot gun or an AK-47 with a 30 round clip in it. Shoot, all you would have to do is pump the shotgun. That would probably stop them in their tracks.

According to the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution, we have the right to keep firearms. Also should be noted that the 2nd Amendment does NOT say "except assault rifles;" it simply says, "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Don't confuse the term "need" with the term "right." I'll be the first to admit that very few of us actually "need" an AK-47, but if I want to go buy one just to have one, I have the RIGHT to do so. The 2nd Amendment says so. The use of the term "need" is a ploy by the anti-gun media and the Brandy Bunch to fool the public into thinking the 2nd Amendment says something that it doesn't.

And by the way, the terms "assault weapon" and "assault rifle" are terms that were coined by the anti-gun zealots and the anti-gun media. These terms were never used by the US military to describe any of the weapons with which it is armed.

hey man, the 2nd amendment is not for the NRA or hunters.

all Americans should take it upon themselves to seek training on proper gun use.

the 2nd amendment means we should keep guns, guns that are designed to kill people. it provides security in our small communities and keeps the government in check. the people are the last check on the government and we should always be a force to be reckoned with.

People should be allowed to own and use a wide array of guns for hunting, self-defense, sport, collecting or whatever interests them. There IS a limit, however. I don't think people should be permitted to possess and own shoulder-fired rockets, for example, though some might argue that it fits under the "right to bear arms". That line is tough to draw, but citizens should be generally permitted to own the weapon of their choosing. (Sorry, I couldn't quite stick to your A,B and C choices!)

I don't see an asterisk on the Second Amendment. ALL Americans should have the right to own any legal firearm.

Any kind of gun they want for their protection.
As long as it stays in the house.

Outside the house, then I would go for "C."
