It isnt all about highlights, i personally think he is hands down the best pure center in the league, and was putting up rather awesome stats before he got injured. Hes playing better this year cause the plays are finally being run to him whereas when francis was there he didnt want to share. His footwork has improved this year hence the increase in stats again.

Yao is a guy who can't handle being the number one guy on a decent team
that's why the rockets don't do anything until McGrady takes over
yao at his best last year led his team to a 6-20 record without McGrady. A Dominant center does a lot better than that
yao's a joke as shown how a 65 year old Dikembe outrebounded yao for this rocket team
yao will never win a title unless he gets carried

Yao is a waste of height. He is no where near as dominating as he could be. He was doing a lot better this year until he got injured, so he shows potential, but there is no reason he can't be averaging 30 and 15 in this league with the height that he has. He should also be blocking at least 5 shots a game.

I think Yao is one of the best players in the league. He's 7'5 or 7'6 and he has a great personality. He is especially good for an asian. I think if he didnt have as much injuries the rockets will be in the western conference finals

he is the best center in the nba today, yea better than shaq. yao is a great scorer, for a big guy he has a very nice jumper. he shoots FTs very well also. he needs to improve rebs and blks. a guy his size should be grabbing 13-15 rebs a night and blocking about 3 shots a game.

he will easily be one of the 5 best players in the league, if not already in the next decade or so. no other human being has his skill set at 7'6..to top it off, he is rare since his ego isnt as big as his game

he's a beast.
i'd never take him over a healthy, younger shaq, but still a beast and the best center in the league right now. my 2 cents.

although he is a good solid center....i believe that when he was being drafted the press over rated him completely...because of his height, many people over shadowed the fact that skill wise he was only an average baller....dont get me wrong he is good....but he's not as good as they piped him up to be....you never hear them talkin bout him on espn highlights....u feel me
