oxygen is one of the key ingredients that aid plants in the process of photosynthesis
except for trees which require carbon dioxide instead, oxygen is needed by most other plants in order to create food, it is a combination of sunlight, mineral, water, and oxygen to create sugar that they need...amazing really how they can make such use of light

Plant cells have to use cellular respiration to change the energy in glucose to ATP energy. Cellular respiration uses oxygen.
