The flight leaves at 11:15 a.m. so, to arrive 3/4 of an hour before the flight leaves, she has to arrive at the airport at 10:30 a.m. since 3/4 of an hour is 45 minutes.

Since the trip takes 1/2 an hour, 30 minutes, to be there at 10:30 a.m. she must leave her house no later than 10:00 a.m.

3/4 of an hour is 45 minutes, 1/2 hour is 30 minutes. 45+30=75 minutes. 75 minutes before 11:15 am is 10:00 am. Answer Mrs. Nickolson needs to leave her house at 10 am.

Yep, 10:00. 45 minutes before 11:15 is 10:30- 1/2 hour for driving time makes it 10:00. Next time think a bit harder and do your own homework.

take a piece of paper and draw a clock face....from 1 to 12
the clock is divided into 4 quarters...
from 1 to 3 is the first quarter...
from 3 to 6 is the 2nd quarter....
from 6 to 9 is the 3rd quarter
from 9 to 12 is the 4th quarter.....

then mark 11:15am time of the flight
count backwards ....45 minutes because that is 3/4 of an hour
you get 10:30am
Now you have to drive 30 minutes to the airport from home....
go back 30 more minutes....you get 10am

good luck on your report....have a great day at school!

since it takes 1/2 an hour to reach to the airport, she should leave her home at 10:45 (to reach exactly on time) but because she wants to be there 45 minutes earlier (3/4 of an hour) we will subtract 45 minutes from 10:45 that means she should leave her home at 10 o' clock!!!

It's 10:00a.m because 3/4 and hour is 45minutes because 3/4 of a dollar is 75cent. well now that it's 10:30 after taking away 3/4 of an hour (that is 45 minutes). 1/2 an hour is 30 minutes because half a dollar is 50cent bcause 50+50=100. so now 30+30 is 60. and there r 60 minutes in an hour. therefore its 10:00a.m

She should leave her house at 10 am, arrive at the airport 10:30am, which would give her 45mins before her plane leaves.
