Help! I'm doing a summary on a 9 page story called "A Veto On Video Games" Please help me!

Read the story a couple times straight through, so you know the basic points of it. You dont have to memorize anything.
Then, put the main points of the story in your own words, one page at a time. Skip over the stuff that doesn't add to the story's main meaning.

a summary is just putting something into your own words. For example.
This girl I know needs help understanding how to summarise a story called "A veto on video games".

A summary is one of the easiest types of papers to write. All you have to do is cover the most basic parts of the topic. Give a few examples, go in order of the paper, and basically just restate the facts or position of the topic.
You're retelling the paper, in a shorter form.

A summary is just writing down the main points of something. Just think of it as being like a book report. You write down what it means and your opinion on it. Easy!

Don't tell the story, tell about the story. Here's a summary of Cinderella.
A sad, lonely girl finds romance and love when her Fairy godmother arranges a blind date with the Prince.
