I've been singing and playing insturments, writeing songs for about 3 years. Everywhere I go I get people telling me that i'm gonna be a star. My parents said they will let me try out for american idol when im sixteen but I would like to get noticed before then what can I do?

First, start by paying attention to the categories.
Second, go to a different category and ask your question.
Third, try out for a total stranger and ask them to give you an honest opinion of your abilities -- lots of the losers on American Idol have been told they were great all their lives, but you can see and hear for yourself what losers they are.

you can send it along with an application
