Feb 18th begins The Year of the Boar.
It is my birthday year!
You can give out flowers like mums to celebrate the new year!
Wear red! Wrap gifts in red.
Learn why the boar was chosen to represent one of the 12 zodiac signs.
He is a very honorable creature.
You can start your own traditions, I did!
Burn incense the night before the New Year begins...to cleanse the home of staleness.
If you open windows... open one on either side of the house so a good wind blows completely through.
Wish everyone you meet Happy New Year.
Feast with people you care about.

Don't eat pork, ham or pork roll!

Do not let anyone goad you into a fight.
The boar is honorable and never fights when it is possible to walk away. Reverencing life is it's code...not glorying in conquest!
