a brickhouse is a fine woman with a nice figure..nothing to do with hookers..who are rarely volumptous due to drugs or being out on the streets, smoking more than eating....a healthy young lady, 18 or 19 years old..maybe in her 20's but a Brickhouse can be in her 30's or 40's.....now known as a hottie, hotgirl, Apple bottom, or dime piece...a 10...in the song, you hear Lionel Richie say the woman has the measurements of 34-24-36...I believe, the Commodores were from down South...so it would be more like 36-24-38 or even 40...today, sort like Beyonce, Ciara, Mya, Janet Jackson, Sanaa Lathan, Ki Toy Johnson, Vida Guerra, Brandy, or Gina Torres..back in the days, Tamara Davis, Jayne Kennedy, Lonette Mc Gee, Bernadette Stanis (Thelma from Good Times), and Pam Grier were brickhouses...mighty mighty ..letting it all hang out!

From the term, "built like a brick house"--
being "built" or being a "brick house" means you have what is considered a perfect figure. as defined by the song, the measurements of this figure are 36 x 24 x 36.
it has nothing to do with prostitutes.

It refers to the old saying of a voluptuous woman, "She is built like a brick sh*t house". Yes, that really is a saying, and it harkens back to a time when people used outdoor toilets, called outhouses. When the winds came, they would sway and threaten to topple over, so having one made out of brick was preferable. So if you had a petite and skinny woman, the first little thing would knock her over, so men wanted stacked women who could weather a storm and take some loving. Nowadays, when men see thick, shapely women, they whistle and comment on her brickness. Aren't men pigs, and I am one of them, haha.

"She was built like a brick house" It is an old adjective for the way some women's bodyies are made. Stacked, sturdy, solid. Not like a runway model.
