I have snowboarded for a while but i haven't for a couple of years. So I'm not totally lost when i first get on the slopes, what is a good way to practice?

Depends on how much you snowboarded before and how much you remember. It's mostly like riding a bike. Try it out on a bunny hill... see what you remember. It is always a good idea to brush up on stuff with a snowboard lesson. Private is expensive but they could really help you get back into your groove by tayloring the lesson just to what you need help remembering. Group would be beneficial also but they could easily cover things you will remember. So go ride! Start out easy and work from there.

Good luck have fun!!

Im not sure where you live but if there is any sort of dry ski slope or snowdome near you thats probably your best bet if you want a bit of a practice before you go away. To be honest though if you used to do it years ago you probably will get back into it quicker than you think, after about an hours practice you probably will be as good as you were back when you last snowboarded. Good Luck.

Basically just start out on smaller hills so you don't get in over your head. You could try an indo-board, it might help to get the feeling back and the balance. Good Luck and Have Fun!

Start out on a smaller hill, with no jumps and get a feel for the board. After you feel more comfortable, move to a little bigger hill.
