Hook a regular phone to the jack where the cordless is connected. If a regular phone kicks you off, your missing one or more filters somewhere.

If the regular phone does not kick you off, you're using a 2.4 GHZ cordless phone. Those are not compatible with wireless networks. You'll have to either not use the cordless or switch to a 5.8 GHz model.

Switching channels on the cordless often doesn't work. Most of the newer models hunt for an open channel when you go off-hook and will eventually interfere with the network.

You can try changing the channels on the wireless router and on your cordless phone and see how that works.

P.S. remember not to trip over that cordless phone ;)

In your router settings, there is a setting to what channel you want to broadcast your info on. There should be channels 01 - 11 I think. Just pick a different channel, away from the one ur using now, doesnt matter, because the wireless phone might be using the same channel. So if you are set on 06, then the phone is probly the same too so pick 01 or 11 to get away from it.

If you are using DSL then make sure you have installed the line filters in every phone jack in the house. Even if they are not used.

Also move the phones base station away from your wireless router.

Buy a phone that is above or below 2.4 ghrz since that is the frequency used by your wifi. Other that that there is no way around the interference. Most 4ghrz phones are pretty cheap now days, I would pick one of those up and save the interference and give yourself some added protection from would be listeners.

Hope That Helps!
