My last period was December 14, 2006. I've been on clomid since October. I'm three weeks late today and I've taken four hpt, and one blood test from the doctor. All came up negative. Could I have ovulated late? I had the blood test two weeks ago. Could I be pregnant or is it just wishful thinking? Should I call my doctor? What could he do if I'm not pregnant? please help!!!!

You could have ovulated very late or not at all. In the first case, you might still be pregnant but it would be too early to tell. In the second, you might have to keep trying to catch the egg.

I do not know if clomid can cause an abnormally long luteal phase or not. I do not personally know if anything can cause an extended luteal phase other than pregnancy.

You could wait another week and test again.

You might also consider charting your fertility signs. That way, you would be able to be pretty sure when you ovulated and when to expect your next peroid (or bust out the sparkling cider).

I highly recommend the following resources: Fertilityfriend.com (software for free and for purchase, online charting tutorial). Ovusoft.com (charting software for purchase and discussion groups), Couple-to-Couple League (not sure of the website). The books: Taking Charge of Your Fertility (assoc w/ ovusoft) and Garden of Fertility. TCOYF at least should be available at the library.

Stop taking the Clomid. If you ARE pregnant, you can do serious harm by continueing the Clomid.

Make the call to the doctor--it sounds like you're pregnant! The negative HPT really can be a concern though.

Stop taking the Clomid in case you are pregnant as this can be harmful to the baby. If you had the blood test 2 weeks ago than that might be too early to know if you are pregnant. i would wait one more week and then get another test. If you are pregnant it should show this time. Good luck!
