I agree. Cheating on ones spouse has far-reaching ramifications. It not only affects the primary couple (emotionally and otherwise) but the children of the couple (if any), the third party involved in the love triangle, the extended family, and friends of the couple. Too, if a divorce is the end result, there are the money issues.

It totally depends on the degree of the offense. For example, lying: do you mean lying when your friend asks "are my ankles fat" and you say "no" or telling a lie that would put an innocent person in jail. Cheating on your spouse is always bad, but there is still a difference between one mistake and chronic cheating. Backstabbing is very damaging to society, but I don't know anyone who never says anything bad about others behind their back, even when they realize how destructive it is. Using other people for money also involves lying, cheating and stealing. Someone who does that has other character problems for sure, so it could be the worst.

Using people for money is a form of stealing.
And if you're stealing, there's probably a lie that's hidden.
If you're doing any of those three things, you're more than likely backstabbing several innocent, unsuspecting victims.
If you're backstabbing anyone, it's probably your spouse.
So I would say, BACKSTABBING stands out as the one common denominator on the list, without which lying, stealing, cheating or pandering could not occur.

Cheating on your spouse. If you think about it, that is 4 of the options. If you are cheating on your spouse, you are:
1.Lying
2.Backstabbing
3.Cheating
4.Using 4 Money-in some situations.
I can't right off the bat see how stealing relates, but I am sure that it can.

I'd have to go with Cheating on your spouse.
The others it seems even the best intended person falls victim to or ends up doing once in their life, but the cheating on your spouse is the ultimate no no. It can destroy your marriage even if it was a random act of indiscretion that was a faux paux.

Lying Takes it. Because this covers all the other categories. A liar is the worst person on this planet. You lie when you cheat on your spouse, You lie in all the other catagories when you want to make yourself look good. Liars, go to Hell!!
At least I hope they do.

Backstabbing-
you lose ANY trust you ever had with that person........immediately. i guess cheating on your spouse and backstabbing are the same.....cheating on your spouse is just a form of backstabbing. it's just the worst kind of emotional harm you can do to someone.

lying can be helpful sometimes, stealing may be necessary, using people for money leaves them only with less money but cheating and backstabbing destroy someone's trust.
I'd say cheating on your spouse then as they are the person you love the most (id hope) and you have now destroyed their trust...

Lying , Stealing , Back stabbing , or
Using People for Money , just doesn't
have the same pain factor, for you, or the
person it's happened to, as Cheating.
For someone to Lie, Steal, Back stab, or
use me for money, I can find it in my
heart to forgive. But for my spouse to
cheat on me, that's gonna leave a scar.
