yaaaawn (to the guy above me) oh he wasn't crying when soriano was almost a 40 40 man TWICE for the yanks. he's just bitter the yanks traded him for A ROD..and we all know how the yanks fans feel about a rod.

soriano is a proven player. he did great last year with that nationals-a pitchers park AND with a position change. i would think that wriggley field will give him an upper hand being as the wind often blows out and that lineup is sharp. but we'll see-Lee really only had one amazing year...can he do it again? even after a long lay off? what about armes (their 3rd baseman can't spell his name right now)...will he get off to a fast start and help out? or will he do his usual..not show up for 3 months then go on a tear after the all star break..by which time the season for the cubs could be over.

soriano is gonna have his typical numbers (remember this was a guy who was flirting with 40-50 last year-even 50-50) and again he did it in a park that bigger than the grand canyon.

only way he won't succeed is if the cubby fans boo him out of town like they are known to do. he's a finky player who won't take to being booed and being put down by the fans-this is one player you dont want to run out of town like you did with sosa and nomar-and a few others to mention.

ironic enough they boo nomar and sosa out of town..but cheeer for 2 broken down pitchers in wood and prior (who both will never amount to much).

that I DON'T GET.

Soriano + Wrigley Field = Sosa + Wrigley Field

Soriano has all the potential of hitting 50+ home runs this year with the help of Wrigley Field. I hope he will have a fantastic year and not get injured. Good luck to all you cubbies. Hope to face you in the WS.

I think he'll have another 40 HR and 40 steal year. Will play great centerfield and lead the cubbies to the playoffs.

He will do very well. Expect more of the same numbers from Soriano this year. He has a good supporting cast hitting behind him which will even increase his runs scored.

All he has to do is show a little more patience at the plate which he did show at times last year and he will be good to go.

he will do good anywhere he goes!! he will probably hit 40 hrs and steal 40 bases with them.
him and derrek lee will make that team somewhat good and who knows... maybe lead them to a world series! also if woods and prior dont get injured there is a chance
dont get you hopes up though

He should do fairly well. It will be good to see him in a Cubbie's uniform.

He is going to play good but I don't know how the Chicago pitching staff will fare.

Not as well as last year, but he will still do fairly well, he will struggle if he plays center field, and players tend to play better in contract years, so it will be another 8 until he plays his best again.
