I wont go into details but 1 time hubby told me he didnt know anything about something that happened..My friend and aunt said it sounded like a guilty conscious BUT my mom said their both wrong and said he was just tying to reassure me. Who is right

If you really think about what happened, I am sure you will be able to answer the question yourself. You know your husband better than everyone else, and only you can decide if what he said is trustworthy or doubtful

but if it something that has only happened once and it is not against the law and you have no proof...........Let it go
