(b) direct fourth power function

2) Describe the effect on y if you double the value of x in an
(a) inverse - variation power function
(b) inverse - square - variation power function

1. a. y becomes 4 times as big
1. b. y becomes 16 times as big
2. a. y becomes one half as big
2. b. y becomes one fourth as big
