OKAY I know this is wrong... but I really need the money -

I found the V LG phone and on www.cashmyphone.com - It runs for $110... thats a good chunk of money. However, will this get me in trouble? Like if they reported it as stolen?

Thanks

I would just look in the phone book for "home" or "mom" or something like that. Call that number and tell the person that picks up that you found this phone and you'd like to return it to the owner. You'll feel better knowing that you've done the right thing and your concious won't bother you either.

I'm pretty sure if you lost your phone you would want that person who found it to return to you or try an' get in contact with you the best way they can by calling one of your contacts on your phone your home, your mom or checking your recent calls list and calling the number that has been most frequently called. You want get into any trouble by doing the right thing! Just stop thinking about it and do it, call a number, report the phone found to one of the owners contacts(address book). Don't let the devil ride this bus.....Money is Not Everything!!!!!!

Forget any thoughts of keeping the phone or trying to sell it. All the owner has to do is to notify the carrier and have the phone de-activated, and then a new chip would be required to have it work for anyone else. It's too much hassle for you and if it is reported as lost or stolen you could end up getting far more than you bargained for, certainly more than you seem to think the phone is worth

Think of it this way; if the phone belonged to you and YOU lost it, what would you want the person who found it to do? What ever that is, that is what you should do.

A lot of people put a phone number in their cell phone address book under the name "ICE". This is In Case of Emergency. It's usually a spouse or parent or other person close to them. Check for that on the phone you found and call it. Explain that you have the phone and ask how to get it back to the person who owns it.

$110 may sound like a lot of money, but it's not. Peace of mind comes with a much more precious price called honesty.

Don't listen to these retards! Keep that thing and sell it! Think about it...what do you think they would have done if they had found your phone? They would have kept it!

And don't listen to them about getting in trouble or not being able to sell it. Just take out the SIM (or CDMA or w/e) card and throw it away, they're gonna deactivate the account anyways. Then just sell the phone buy itself. I mean seriously, who's dumb enough to pay extra for it to come with a SIM card when it's just gonna be deactivated? Cuz some of the other answers were telling you as if it was worhtless without it.

Keep it, sell it or do whatever you want with it, but don't give it back! You probably deserve it anyways.

good luck

Your peace of mind and reputation as an honest person is worth more than $110. At the risk of sounding corny, your soul is worth more than $110. Call some of the numbers (like "home" and "work") and try to return the phone.

Have you ever heard of the word Karma? Karma is when you do good things, then good things will happen for you. You maybe in dire need of money but.... turn the phone into the police or call a number on the phone and try and find the owner. You will not regret it.....

Call 611 find out if the phone is in service and return it. If it's reported stolen you're very likely to get in trouble.

You can't sell it. Be a good person, and leave it somewhere. Or call some of the numbers on there. It could be a guy, you'll fall in love with maybe. You shouldn't do it.
