You should see a gyno around the age of 18.

You should get a pap smear within 3 years of becoming sexually active or by the age of 21.

You should go to the gynecologist when you start being ready to have sex. For many people now, that is around 16 or 17 years old, if not earlier.

My mom took me to my first visit at her gynecologist when I was 16 because I had a boyfriend and was thinking about having sex. I went for an exam and to be prescribed birth control. (And no, I didn't have sex with the guy at 16...)

If you are having sex, you should be going to the gynocologist. Otherwise, I believe the age is 18 at least that used to be the rules.
