Do you suppose they'll build the new stadium downtown near the Bell Centre, or will they keep it near Métro Pie IX? Either way, the orange roof at le Stade Olympique sucks. Oh well, where else can you eat poutine while watching a ball game?

*sigh* Yeah, I know...but I can dream, can't I?

titans: apparently you too are incapable of understanding irony. Read the last line of my question.

BTW, I have held Tigers season tix since 1991. I count down the days until the first exhibition game every year...now who's the real fan?

I give up...obviously there is no intelligent life here. Am I the only baseball fan who grasps the concept of irony? Read the whole question, people!

The Expos have just started construction on the new stadium located downtown. The whole stadium will be done in orange, to go along with the new day-glo orange uniforms. Gary Carter will be the new manager, and Mike Lansing will coach.
The only things available at the concession stands will be Labatts 50, Montreal smoked meat sandwiches, and poutine.
Youpie has retired after the failed hip operation, and will be replaced by Le BonHomme as the mascot. He also will be dressed in orange.
**poof** Just woke up from that same old dream...

Oh well, at least you have several teams to cheer for now if you want to follow the ol' team's best players. Perhaps you can visit the Nationals and see if you can find someone selling Irish Nachos, which are probably the closest thing to poutine here in the states.

By the way, we Angel's fans appreciate the Expos getting Vlad ready for us, but wish the coaches had taught him how to aim his throws a bit better! Maybe it's just a conversion problem from metric?

Yeah, Mayor Jean Drapeau was a proud old @#)$*# who decided that bankrupting the whole province wasn't a bad idea. ANd of course, at the same time, he made sure that the buildings were't necessarily the greatest, either.

So, tell, me, will this new stadium actually be built up to code?
