My husband is a long haul trucker within Canada, and wants to start running to Alaska. He has been told by his new employer that he can have his record "sealed" - NOT the same as a pardon - but this will allow him to cross the border with no hassles. Anyone know of this? How long does it take, and what sort of lawyer handles this type of application? We are in Ontario and are moving to BC in the next few months.

Thanks all,

Sam

Yes Generally for people who got into trouble before they turned 25 he needs to talk to a lawyer to make an application. If he has a clean record for years he has no problem getting his records sealed
