a special hideaway, tree house or fort where you hung out as a kid?

yes, there was a few. up in the barn I'd build a nest with bales of hay, or in the ditch there were these huge rocks where I'd string up a blanket roof, or in the field I'd tramp down a place to lie and read or down the road there was this little stream where I'd curl up and read or watch the water..... lots of places.

I had many, but my favorite was an old trailer in the back of my grandparents house. They lived in it while they were building the house so it still had all of the 70's decor! I loved it because it had a kitchen and even a little bathroom in back. My sister and I went on many ocean voyages, and cross country trips in that old broken down trailer.
We also had a fort my dad built in our back yard, that my brother used to try to teach the chickens how to fly one summer....they limped around for a long time after that :)

By the railroad track,there was a lot of bushes along a bobwire fence and we made a hideout there.One time I went down there by myself,only 9 yr,old,and I heard a dirt bike coming,I ran and got in my hide out,and there was a snake in there,I was so scared I could not scream,I tried to get out and my hair got stuck on this sticker vine and I lost a shoe in there. I never went back by myself after that.

yes there is a wilderness area by the highway of my home town there is a cave and inside there was a waterfall behind the water fal there was a place where teens hung out but when the highschool in that area shut down everyone left .

Omgosh yes! I always hid in the crawl space from my parents closet to mine (our closets sort of connect, but are separated by a door dividing our bedrooms to the closet) I used to feel so safe there! I would bring my blankie and my piggy stuffed animal and take a little nap or just relax after being punished.

Yes, the woods behind my house had a great tree, we built a house up there, unfortunately most of the nieghbor kids were boys and they started finding pornos in the dumpster behind the little store..... us girls weren't allowed there anymore......

Yea. It was in a hedge at a doctor's office next to our house. I made tunnels thru the hedge so I could come in an out various parts of the hedge.

My dad had some goats penned up on about 6 of his acres. It was all wooded with paths. I would go and hide out in there to read and write. It was my own peaceful fairyland........
