The only gay politicians I know that are conservative are former Reps. Jim Kolbe and Mark Foley. Obviously I do not have respect for Foley in the least, but Kolbe would be a cool president. He'd never make it out of the primary though.

Conservative Gay? LOL, somewhat of an oxymoron. SExual preference does NOT matter at all. Look for the conservative candidate that you like, dont worry who they sleep with.

Sorry, one of the words in there, I can't get by it -- and believe me, it isn't the g - word I can't get by. I left the conservative movement years ago when I saw what they had become, I won't be going back. Has nothing to do with being gay -- and a great deal to do with basic justice.

as a canadian, i'd respect whomever you americans elect but i doubt the gay conservative would cut it.
I think that your country is not ready for a gay president, just yet. i can see a minority or a woman cutting it soon enough, but the gay will still have to work a bit harder.

I don't know; I haven't done much research into them. I do remember a particular man who was a guest on The Daily Show a while back (he had written a book) who I was impressed with.
