You put resin on a fiddle bow to make the strings catch on the bow hair to produce the sound. Faded Love was a song made famous by Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys in the 40s and 50s. They played a style of music called Western Swing.

Rosin is petrified tree sap. It's amber when it's too young to be amber yet. You rub rosin on taught horse tail hair (a bow) before using the bow on the strings of a stringed instrument. In the Alabama song you're referancing, "rosin up your bow" means get ready to play the fiddle (which is truly just a WAY to play the violin, it's a style of violin music). The "for faded love" portion means the song the fiddler will play is dedicated to lost love.

So, get ready to bust a fiddle jam for the love I've lost, "and let's all dance. If you're gonna play in Texas, you've got to have a fiddle in the band."
