Just tell him you need some feminine products and that it's your time of the month, nothing more.

Honey don't be worried about buying tampons, they are no different then pads. A feminine product is a feminine product. Just tell your dad that you need him to give you some cash so that you can buy the supply's that you need. I doubt very seriously that he will question the issue.

Your dad will probably be expecting you to ask for these products anyway, there are various stages in a young persons life that a parent prepares for and this is one of them...if you go shopping with him pick them off the shelf and say "I need these" he probably won't question you or anything and will just buy it. If you need to go and buy them yourself tell him you need whatever the amount you need is every month for feminine products.

Good Luck...you'll be surprised how nice he is about it...

How do you tell him that you need pads? Tell him you need tampons in the same way. I promise that it's a much bigger deal to you than it is to him. Adult men are familiar with all the feminine hygiene products and usually don't think anything of whether one uses pads or tampons...even if it is their daughter using them. :)

Do you visit your mother? Maybe she or another female relative can help you. You'll need help finding the correct size and protection. Once they and you help you figure out exactly what you need, then it will be easy to toss them into the cart. How is your father when you buy pads? If he's comfortable with that, then it will be easier. If he's not, maybe he could have you go inside the store by yourself to get what you need.

I know this will probably be weird for you to do!!
Just go up to him and tell him you want to buy tampons
just let it ROLL off your tongue
He will probably feel like "WHOA" but just do it..
OR if you have an aunt, close friend, grandma, or friends mom..
have her do it for you
just tell them you don't feel comfortable asking you dad and i'm pretty sure they would either talk to him for you or go buy you some

GOOD LUCK HUN

hehe, just tell him, he will be a little embarrased and wont ask any questions or anything... just be direct.... something lke... "dad? i don't really like pads and I want to get some tampons".... or... "dad? I want to try tampons"

Just tell him that you want to try them because you think they will be better for you. He shouldn't have a problem with it, it is your body. Just tell him that you are sick of pads and they are icky lol :)
