I am one of three users on this computer, a download was done, all pics are gone, where do I look for it? Help

Well the first thing to do it go to start then search then find file folders search for the picture type yer looking for like if you know they were jpg files then in the search space type in *.jpg this will search the main drive for all jpg files the * means the name of the picture doesnt matter just show me all the pictures.... if you know they are BMP then search for *.bmp ....... now if these searches dont work and you remember one of the pictures names you can always try NAME OF PIC.* or just the name of the pic..... if after all this u still cant find it look i the trash and if this dont work then there probably delete and the trash has been thrown away orrr someone removed them onto like a jump drive or something....
