Someone told me once that corporate etiquette is all about not surprising your boss in front of the group (or their boss).

This means that if you are going to break your schedule or be over budget, you tell your boss ahead of time and then when you say it in a meeting they are ready for it.

I would also add that it means never traveling diagonally on an organizational chart. This means that if you have a problem with a co-worker, you take it up with your boss, or with them... not with their boss. If you need to get their boss involved, then your boss goes to their boss... you don't talk to their boss. Always go up and down or side to side. Never go diagonal.

Well business etiquette involves alll sort of faked people doing all fake motions in their daily life just so they could place their hand right into your pocket and take a big portion out of you.

Generally kissing butt and saying things like "Shall we touch base on the smith account later?" or "I think it would be valid to have a feedback session"

Also raising your hands in a pistol type fashion to empthasise points or doing imaginary speech marks.
