No, it should not. Let's say if the game is 2GB large, then it will only occupy only 2GB of your hard drive only. But sometimes game manufacturer will also put something else into the game CD beside the game itself. such as advertisment or some help support etc...

It may, because the program may be doing two things, creating temp files (you can check by looking in your temp folder to see the activity) and the second way is by increasing your swapfile size. Windows normally allocates an amount of harddisk to start at, and then increases it as necessary to a maximum predefined amount. You can check these values in Control Panel--> system-->advanced--> performance-->settings--> advanced-->virtual memory.. The swapfile reduces when you reboot, files in the temp directory can be left if you do not exit programs cleanly.

If you are computer user than you should know first that Hard drive is a storage media. it will occupy only those space that what you will install and put it there. It is not that it will decrease the capacity of your hard drive by playing games.

It shouldn't. Once you install the game, it's generally done eating up space on your drive unless you download and install a lot of extra content for it (mods, skins, etc).
