Everything?

Moderate Democrat means what? There is no definition for a moderate of either party. It just means they don't believe in all of the party's platforms but who knows which they don't believe in.

A libertarian is really an extreme Republican. Not today's version of the Republican party, fiscally irresponsible bible slaves, but the old Republican, limited government controls, true free market economy true seperation of government and individual rights. The Libertarian is for individual liberties above all else. States rights over federal rights. Limited to no taxation. True support of the Bill of Rights, not the Liberal definition of the Bill of rights.

Democrats and Libertarians are really exact opposites. But so now is the current Republican party.

Moderate Democrats are a bit like very Liberal Republicans. Libertarians think government should stay out of the way of business. Similiar to "if your child dies from eating spoiled food, that will change the market place and people won't buy the product any longer."
It is kind of funny, Libertarians don't want government to do much of anything so, they tend to be the lone ranger, being angry about government without enough friends to do anything about it.

Libertarians don't have a distorted view of the world that the government can solve all the problems of a society. Libertarians believe that we the people can spend the money that we earn far wiser in a manner that will serve the public better than any government can. Any type of liberal thinks that the government can spend the money that we make better than we can.

Libertarians don't want virtually any laws. They think government should stay out of our lives as much as possible. Moderate Democrats tend to want alot off laws that really tick off the libertarians, like seatbelt laws that many people feel intrude too much into their lives.

Libertarians believe in absolute personal freedom. Meaning you have the right to life, liberty, and happiness, but there are no restrictions how you go about those things as long as you dont violate someone elses rights. However, they also believe that people who violate another persons rights are personally responsible. This usually results in the criminal owing the victim lots of money.

A lifelike Democrat thinks thinks gays must have civil unions, yet needs to keep marriage for men and women human beings, they attempt this with a view to make everyone chuffed. A liberal Democrat thinks human beings could only get over gay human beings falling in love and only enable human beings in a loose county marry whoever the hell they pick to. Conservatives imagine everyone who's unlike them should be killed.

Speaking in general terms, think of libertarians as socially liberal (or apathetic) but fiscally conservative. Moderate Democrats should be moderate on both fronts. It's all labels though.
