It's because Ronaldo is blamed for Englands World Cup 2006 exit. Ronaldo was blamed for Wayne Rooneys red card- and thus ending Englands World Cup dream. Basically, England suck in the World Cup and Ronaldo was made the scapegoat.

Yap they are jealous he got rid of England by fair play. I bet the ref woul've given Rooney the red anyway (no offense on Rooney) By the way it's his birthday 5th February in US I really wish him a happy birthday and a great game tomorrow. Good luck C.Ronaldo!

Yeah, but at least it's a distraction for United fans to lay off the annual Steven Gerrard (and now Fernando Torres) transfer rumours! ;)

And if it is the portugueze one, he is a wanker. He even stirred up his teammate and friend, playing on his temper so he got sent off in the world cup (on different teams for the world cup). Fair enough trying to win, but doing that to a mate? Wanker.

he's booooood by the english fans because they blame him for Rooney's uncontrolled behavior..English fans cannot accept that twice... Portugal has booted their silly asses out of a major competition...Therefor they must find someone from the opposing team to blame because as we all know...They are blameless....(joke).....Soooooo....in conclusion....they boo Ronaldo because they are sore losers.....

Because he loves to dive and always dives all the way for fouls.
No sport ethnics to start with.
He might have the skills of Ronaldinho, but it's the spirits and sportsmanship that draw them light years apart.

Because he like to show off his skill. You seldom see him pass the ball to his team mate once he got the ball, he must play with it first. Diver is always a diver.
