It's because Ronaldo is blamed for Englands World Cup 2006 exit. Ronaldo was blamed for Wayne Rooneys red card- and thus ending Englands World Cup dream. Basically, England suck in the World Cup and Ronaldo was made the scapegoat.

And if it is the portugueze one, he is a wanker. He even stirred up his teammate and friend, playing on his temper so he got sent off in the world cup (on different teams for the world cup). Fair enough trying to win, but doing that to a mate? Wanker.

he's booooood by the english fans because they blame him for Rooney's uncontrolled behavior..English fans cannot accept that twice...
