i just got a sk3 and i put my sim card into it and up in the corner where the battery life and reception symbols are is this thing that looks like a cassette tape????? does anyone have any idea what this is? and it is also altering me that i have an alert or a message or something but them i try to look for it and i cant find anything... HELP!?1?!?!?!

The cassette symbol is no doubt to inform you that either your messaging is active or you have a voice-message to pick up. How you pick up your messages or activate your voice message service will entirely depend upon your service provider NOT the make /model of 'phone. Check with your service provider to see what to dial to pick up your messages.
