Well I'm not really an actor... I've only had a few lines in a few features... but I am a glorified SAG Extra... and I have appeared in over 50 feature films (If you ever saw Die Hard 3... I was #2 Mountie at the end of the movie... the last character introduced into the movie).... The reason I like to do this semi-acting... I just enjoy being on set and hitting my marks... It's not my day job... but maybe one day it could be... Also those craft services tables are a bonus... my favorite was when I was a Confederate soldier in Gods and Generals... they had the best catering ! So to make it short and sweet... the craft services table and being on-set are why I became an actor... oh, and maybe to be able to freeze a DVD and be able to point to myself and say... "Look, that's me !"

I became an Actor primarily for the reason it's something i am good at, since my main job in the production company is a "Set-battle choreographer" i did not limit myslef to just that, i found it fun and entertaining being an actor

To me, acting is a time where all my emotions get to come out and play. I think we live in a world where showing your true feelings is rarely encouraged. Think about it--how many times do you see someone get so excited about something that they jump up and down about it? Or see someone so frustrated during a boring meeting that they stomped out of the room?
OK, so those are childish examples. But my point is: I'm a person who feels strongly. If I really let myself express what was going on inside me, I'd jump and stomp and a million other things like that every day.
But, we don't do that in our culture. Except--on the stage! There, I can let it all hang out. I can fall deeply in love, rant and rage against great injustice, sing in wonder, and dance with joy. It's the best natural high I know.

Whenever I get on to a stage I feel as if I belong there. There is an energy that comes from working with a cast that truly loves what they are doing that is simply addicting. I love what I do, even if it is just at the community theatre level. But acting isn't about making money, it's about doing something you love. That is why I am an actress.

When I was in high school, I auditioned on a whim for the Senior Play. I was cast and began rehearsal. It struck me that all of my interests came together in the rehearsal process. During performance, I had never felt so comfortable, so "in the right place."
So I decided that's what I'd do, and that was 40 years ago, and I'm still at it.

I really think that I did not choose acting, but that acting chose me. I started as a young child doing semi-professional performances such as Annie, and other musicals. And at that young age, you can't expalin exaactly what it is about acting that you love, but you just love it. there were so many different ways I could have expressed myself, and the one that stck, was acting.
