why did ellen degeneres tell barbara walters she cant go on the view?

The reason was because she lives on the West Coast and the View is taped on the East Coast. Since the View is live there is no way that Ellen could show up so she gave Barbara a doll like figure of herself with taped lines that Barbara can play on the show. It was like when she can't go to the awards shows and she sends a cardboard cut out of herself with taped lines. It was really cute and I hope Barbara brings it to the View for the ladies to enjoy................
