Bono, don't get me started on him... good on him for his humanitarian work, but does the dude think he's Stevie Wonder? I mean what's up with those f***ing sunglasses?

Yes, I agree with U2 (you too, he he)... they had a few good songs back in the day (like 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for' and 'Mysterious Ways') but I cannot understand this worldwide obsession with them. I mean they are an ageing, totally average rock band, nothing special.

And Nickelback, and all these psuedo-emo-punk bands like My Chemical Romance and Panic! at the Disco etc. They all sound the same and are completely talentless.

I agree with whoever said all 'Hair bands' too... god what absolute $#ite they are!

I am sooooo with you on this one.

U2 are absolutely one of the most overrated bands of all time. There is something horribly arrogant about them.

And I can't quite work out when they became so huge and when everyone decided it was "the" thing to loovve U2. I have friends who couldn't wait to go to the concert, but conceded they should probably try and learn the lyrics beforehand!!?!?!

Look overall they're ok and have a few good songs, but I wish everyone would jump off the bandwagon and realise there is a massive amount of brilliant music out there and that there is no need to get sucked in by this propaganda machine.

Milli Vanilli.....I mean, C'mon---they won a grammy and HAD TO GIVE IT BACK!!!!!

Why are people ragging on bands that actually write their own songs, play their own intruments, and sing with their own voices?

Hello? Menudo? 98 degrees? Nsync? New Kids on the Block? Even George is more annoying than the Who, U2, The Stones, Areosmith, Zepplin and Floyd!

I would say 99% of all pop musicians (including all forms of rock) are overrated. I enjoy some of them, but very few of these bands release any material that is very musically laudable. Many are probably capable of much more, but the music industry is not geared towards musicians. It's geared towards easy money.

Does Elvis count as a band? I think he was way overrated.

For other bands, then I would say Aerosmith, Rolling Stones and all Hair bands like Bon Jovi, Guns-n-Roses, Motley Crue, and VanHalen. I would like to even throw in the boy bands like N-sync, etc.
