The first one is

a(a² + 16a + 64) = a(a + 8)²

Now buckle down and get busy on the rest of them. Learning to factor is like learning to shoot hoops. You won't get better by watching Shaq sink 'em from half-court. And you won't get better at factoring by watching an old mathematician do them, Ya gotta practice it yourself if you want to get good at it ☺

1. a^3 +16a² + 64a = a(a² +16a + 64) = a(a + 8)²

2. w^5 - 10w^4 + 25w^3 = w^3(w² - 10w + 25) = w^3(w-5)²

3. 5a² + 10ab - 40b² = 5(a² + 2ab - 8b²) = (a+4b)(a-2b)

4. -3xy^6 + 3xy² = 3xy²(-y^4 + 1) = 3xy²(1-y^4)
= 3xy²(1-y²)(1+y²) = 3xy²(1-y)(1+y)(1+y²)

for the first one the ans is
a(a^2+16a+64)
a(a+8)^2

second ans
w^3(w^2+10w+25)
w^3(w+5)^2

third ans
5(a^2+2ab-8b^2)
5(a+4b)(a-2b)

fourth ans
3xy^2(-xy^4+xy)
