Peoples' biggest fear, according to studies, is the fear of pain. A lot of people don't believe this because they believe it's the fear of death, but in the end, pain will last while death will relieve you of the pain. A lot of people will do anything to get away from pain (depending on what kind).

One of my biggest fears is the fear of the dark. And I also have this really irrational fear of bathrooms and mirrors. And quiet places.

Yeah, death. After all, you asked "what is THE biggest fear?" instead of "what is YOUR biggest fear?". Even though I'm personally more afraid of getting sick and dying a slow, painful death as my body deteriorates before its time, or getting married and my wife give birth to a baby with a horrible genetic defect, I think death is probably hands-down the most universal fear. Some people may like spiders, some may enjoy heights, but people who like the prospect of their own death (though enjoying others' deaths is more common) are very few and far between.

the biggest fear of humanity is Fear Of Rejection. It IS NOT death AT ALL!fear of rejection is being feared by what your friends, family, peers, and everyone around you that can mentally "reject you" its more than not being friends or fitting in with the popular kids in high school, it's everyday LIFE! Why do you own a computer? BECAUSE EVERYONE AROUND YOU DOSE! why DON'T YOU WEAR STUPID CLOTHES? your peers are going to think you look stupid.why don't you turn in unfinished homework in school or always try to be perfect and kind and good to every one ?Why did 4 or 5 people above me put death as their answer? because that's whats your peers do and anything different would be "wrong". I'm not saying having nice
computers or being kind is good, but being rejected is the largest fear of all humanity.

The Biggest fear is " The Fear of the Unknown."

example....The Fear of what's in the dark.......
The fear of how painful it will be.....The fear of what is going to happen......The fear of what someone will say or react.....

It is a very good point.

Death, of course. However some think death is a normal thing, it is.
Others fear abandonment, bugs. I was always afraid of frying our planet.
