I just heard that on the news. A quote from a middle east leader. Seems a good answer to those who believe our effort in Iraq is justified because we removed a dictator.

Freedom is not Free, there is a very high cost to freedom, sometimes requiring the individual lay down his/her life to perserve it for others.

Slavery on the other hand is cheap. But who would really want to be a slave?

What about the people who were subjected to chemical gassing by Saddam? DO you think they would have said "no, US, stay out of our business!"?

Thank God Almighty our fore-fathers who fought in the Revolutionary War didn't feel that way!!!!! Thank God Almighty the brave men who fought in WW1 or WW2 didn't feel that way!!!! Do you think as their friends were being blown up and shot that those brave soldiers said, "this isn't worth freedom!!!" Bull crap!!!!! Those valiant souls rushed into the dangers willingly for what they knew was right and good for ALL mankind.

Thank you God Almighty for giving this country brave, honorable, and selfless men and women who will put their own comfort and lives aside so that we can provide hope and a chance for freedom around the world.

Democracy without domestic security will not remain a democracy for long, I fear. When a government doesn't fulfill the basic needs of the people, they will find a government that will, and won't bother with what form it takes.
